Hear our Prayer
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! 2Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, 3who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, 4who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, 5who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalm 103:1-5)
Gracious Father,
We give thanks and bless your holy name from all that is within us. We have been blessed in life from all that you have done for me and given me in terms of ability, gifts and opportunities. For all that you have blessed us, we give thanks.
Please God, hear our prayers today:
For those who have health needs, upcoming surgeries, treatments, and procedures, many we know by name and some we know in our hearts, please give them strength and comfort. We ask that you be with the medical professionals who treat them and heal them. Return them to strength and the ability to move forward in life. In all we ask, we do ask for your will to be done. Be with the caregivers and families who provide care and comfort.
For those whose families are dealing with problems. Satan loves division and we ask that you bring peace and calm to the situations for those families who find themselves divided. Return them to you, O Lord, and guide them with your hand.
For those churches, communities, and workplaces that are facing issues, some we've heard about such as natural disasters, war, anger and issues left unresolved, others we do not know about but realize these situations exist in our sinful world, we ask that you provide leaders for these groups who kneel to you and seek your wisdom found in your word.
For those who are experiencing joy: new jobs, newly married, milestones in life, babies and children and their growth in faith, and any number of things we are joyful about, we give thanks.
For these petitions and those things weighing on our hearts, we lift them up to you, O Lord, asking and praising you, in your Son's name, Amen.
